One night after the Palmerton market, Jill (Karen’s mother) suggested me something unexpected. First of all, she asked me if I liked motorbikes. Surprised by this question, I answered “Of course! I had one 5 years ago and I’ve my riding license too!” Then she said “Would you be a volunteer with Wilf’ (her husband) and me to do the flags at the Hidden Valley Track for a superbike race (The Top End Road Race Association Territory challenge or TTC)?” It wasn’t necessary to ask me twice! Thanks to Jill, I became a Marshall on the pit lane and the start grid these last two weekends. At the same time, this position gives me the opportunity to talk with the riders or to fix my Gopro on their bikes!
Also I applied to get my Marshall license to do the flags everywhere in Australia for every event like dirt biking, moto-X, Enduro, Supercar, Superbike and speedway!
