After 4 days in Jindy, it was time for me to move away. I had a feeling pushing me to Thredbo<\/strong> located at 35 km from Jindy into the Kosciuszko National Park<\/strong>.\u00a0 Also my aim was to reach Thredbo<\/strong> by hitch-hiking from Katoomba and stay other there for a week or may be more.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Nicolas, the owner of Sacred Ride<\/span>, I’ve got free accommodation and meal at the Silver Brumby<\/em> (a hostel) in Thredbo<\/strong> with Nicolas and Emma (in exchange, I must work 2 hours a day to clean and prepare the room for the guests). First good point. The second good point is even better. I was walking on the road to go in the direction of Thredbo<\/strong> and a car, without I ask anything, provided me a lift directly! It’s how I met Erin and Viky, both working at the Knickerbocker<\/em> in Thredbo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Third good point. When I arrived at the Silver Brumby<\/em>, Nicolas and Alex (an American working for accommodation and food) were on their way to celebrate their birthday at the Black Bear<\/em>. Alex doesn’t leave me the choice, I must come! It’s how I met all the local people living in Thredbo (or at least half of them) by drinking good beers, having an excellent diner and, of course, sharing a few slices of the delicious birthday cakes!<\/p>\n

There I met Kellie, a mature woman crazy enough to ride both Motocross and Mountain Bike! She works at the information center and knows absolutely everyone. When she heard I like riding, she suggested me to ride with her and should be able to get me\u00a0 a mountain bike!<\/p>\n

Woohh, I’ve got free accomodation and food, had the pleasure to meet everybody and got a mountain bike to ride the downhill trails… in less than 2 hours! That’s a really good start! But an other surprise is coming:<\/p>\n

Nicolas (Sacred Ride<\/em>) gave me a job: Put together the brand new mountain bikes and fix the customers’ ones! It such a dream: I’m working as mechanic in a mountain bike shop and can ride with those ones during my free time the trails in and around Thredbo.<\/p>\n
