The Grasshopper Travel<\/strong><\/a> is like an online version of Lonely Planet. The concept is to present in every languages different businesses and resorts along the East coast<\/span> during a 40 days trip from Cairns to Sydney (or on the other way) with plenty activities for a good value<\/strong>. In exchange, each \u00ab\u00a0Grasshopper\u00a0\u00bb (name given to each backpacker who chooses to follow the tour) has to present during 1min30 \u2013 2 min in is mother tongue each place<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"julien-diot_falla-reef_sailing-boat_cairns_worldtour-outdoorexperience\"<\/a>I spent $2200<\/strong> to do this 40 days trip<\/em> that represents only $56 a da<\/strong>y. It seems a really good opportunity to save money compare to what we do: Walking in the oldest rainforest in the world (Daintree Forest) and Jungle surfing to Cape Tribulation, Sailing and scubadiving on the Great Barrier Reef<\/em>, \u2026 All of that was already included.<\/p>\n

You can also Bungee jump with a BMX from a 55M hight roof tower in Cairns or Skydive on Mission Beach but you will have to pay an extra for that.<\/p>\n

About the accommodation, there are really luxury. Most nights we sleep in a huge flat or a nice hotel. Coral Sea Villas<\/a> in Port Douglas was a perfect place to stay and even more when we were to North Cove Hotel<\/a> on Lake Street in Cairns. At the moment it\u2019s the nicest place where I went. Big4 Atherton Woodlands Cabine and Van park<\/a> was lovely too with a beautiful Tha\u00ef garden and design. It\u2019s only the beginning, so it’s a good sign for the next part of this trip!<\/p>\n

However the group rhythm is a kind slow. Every morning I have to wait everybody\u2019s getting ready or going for shopping every two days, so you lost half day every two or three days which is really annoying.<\/p>\n

Nethertheless we still have good fun and if I wasn\u2019t doing that, I\u2019m not sure I will do the same for cheaper by myself or with travelling people in a van. It\u2019s a new experience<\/strong> and I can\u2019t really say It\u2019s bad or good before the end!<\/p>\n

One thing is sure: my 24th<\/sup> birthday was really awesome!<\/p>\n
